I never have believed in God, and the only time in my life when I was hoping to become a believer was when my brother was sick. I wanted to have something to hold onto. I hadn’t paid attention to religion — it just wasn’t relevant until that point. When my family was hopeful that there’d be some sort of help, I didn’t have that hope that help was coming. Even though they are religious, my family is not fanatical and has always allowed me to think and say what I felt.

What type of work have you done?
I was a buyer for a couple of years and a project manager for about ten years in the electronics manufacturing sector. I have also been a teacher both professionally and as a volunteer. Currently I’m a project coordinator.
How would you identify yourself in terms of religion/spirituality? I haven’t found a group that shares my core values or fits my criteria in terms of religion. I guess I could say I’m a non-believer, but I generally don’t use any labels.
What are some of your reasons for joining CFI? I am interested in hearing other people’s opinions, and I like to learn more about different topics that I’m not familiar with. I also joined for the social aspect.
Are there any books or movies that have had a big impact on you?
There are some books and movies that I find interesting, but none that have really influenced me or made me question the meaning of life!
What were some of the defining moments that led you to the point where you are now, in a religious/spiritual sense?
